God has kept Jonathan Spinks’ schedule very busy as an evangelist since his retirement as a professional athlete. At one point he spent as many as 45 out of 52 weeks during the year away from home. Aside from his personal ministry he’s also been an evangelist and keynote speaker for numerous organizations including Bill Glass’ Weekend of Champions and Reaching America’s Youth. His dedication to speaking in evangelistic crusades, revivals, churches, public schools, college campuses, prisons, youth rallies, corporate business meetings, and fundraiser events has been a tremendous factor for over 600,000 decisions for Jesus Christ over the past 18 years. While being involved in these ministries we witnessed the gospel being shared to over 700,000 of America’s youth and approximately 179,000 of those youth professed making a decision for Christ. We feel we can make an even greater impact with the upcoming Evangelistic Crusades.

A well known evangelist once said, “People that don’t think numbers are important don’t have any numbers.” We see it like this: If you are a contributor to your own retirement plan, then you always want to invest your money wherever it will gain the most benefit. In Christian terms, we call that planting our seed and waiting to reap a harvest. Maybe it’s time we look at investing in ministries in the same manner. Africa Crusade
I went to Zambia Africa a few years ago and it absolutely changed my life forever. We are returning to see more than a dozen churches that we planted last time we were there and hold a huge evangelistic crusade for the entire region of Zambia. This region is one of the poorest in Africa and very hungry for the truth of Jesus Christ.

Dallas, Texas Crusade

Evangelistic Crusades
This is our most exciting and heart-driven endeavor at the moment. We will be focusing more and more of our efforts in this area of ministry. Our goal during these events is to reach out to the lost, the un-churched, youth, and Christians that have stopped going to church. It will also put a real fire for God back into the heart of Christian’s that need rejuvenating as well as need to experience the power of God in their life. We have a very attractive secular approach and appeal to the public because of the professional athletes that speak as well as my friend and Hollywood actor, Stephen Baldwin. Weekend of Champions
Partnering with the largest prison ministry in the United States, we are making a great impact on your neighborhoods with this ministry to inmates. How is that? The inmates, almost every one of them, are getting out of prison soon. Would you rather that person get out of prison as a born- again believer in Christ or a professional criminal? They will return to society in one of those conditions. Jesus is the only way to truly change a life and we can witness to the change in many. We’re making a huge difference in the crime rates of many cities across the nation. With your support, you can too.

Home for Drug Addicts and the Homeless
This is a home where 16 street people live with one pastor. Right in the middle of the worst crime- ridden and poorest neighborhood in Dallas, Oak Cliff. The homeless addicts are literally brought in right off the street, led to faith in Jesus Christ through salvation, and then daily mentored and taught the Bible. Many people really do want to give money to people on those street corners, but like you, I always knew they would go buy drugs or alcohol with the money I gave them. The 16 people that live in this home will attest to this truth. We want to start these all over Dallas and beyond and believe this is real Christianity in action. Jesus said, “As you do unto the least of these”, the down and out, “you do unto me”. This is exactly what the responsibility of the church is but is not being done. By your support, here’s a way your money can be properly used instead of on the street corners of America.

Ring of Champions **New Youth Program**
This is a weekly mentoring program staffed by volunteers who work with troubled youth. Part of the program includes court-appointed attendance of the entire family (yes that includes Mom and Dad) to an evangelistic service where salvation in Jesus is offered. At the point where a youth gets in trouble, many for the first time, the courts will dictate that part of the repayment to society is that the youth, along with the entire family - mom, dad, sisters and brothers, attend the evangelistic service. The youth in question is also appointed by the courts, to participate in a weekly mentoring program where they are taught how to live God’s way and Godly principles. The youth of America are our future. We invite you to be a mentor to someone or be a financial supporter in our efforts.

Single Mothers Ministry
As a new project for us, we are currently looking to purchase land North of Dallas where we can build very inexpensive housing for single mothers and their children. We’ll provide a Christian environment for their children and a home, free of charge, to single mothers in need. They will be allowed to stay, at no cost, for approximately a 6-month period and possibly longer under special circumstances, while they get back on their feet. By teaching Christian values during their stay we’ll affect the children for the rest of their life. This is an area that is close to my wife’s heart since she has experienced, first hand, the struggles of being a single mother while taking care of a child. Single mothers also need mentoring in the things of God. I’m personally excited about this ministry because it is my goal to track down the fathers, minister to them, hold them accountable as the fathers of their children and get them involved in a Godly mentoring program. We can make a huge impact in this arena but we need to raise a lot of support in order to do what God wants us to. Your support is needed now to make this happen quickly!
